FAMILIES

With a cruise you get so much more than a traditional family holiday including sun, sea, sand, gourmet dining, spacious accommodation and ever changing scenery. Family cruises give parents a welcome break; no-one has to cook, do the dishes, make the beds, drive, or find a place to park.

Most cruise lines offer a family friendly service catering for every age, with superb children’s facilities.

Children are introduced to different environments, experience many types of food, travel to and explore new places, and participate in any number of exciting activities whilst making lots of new friends.

Family cruising programmes allow children to enjoy a range of activities provided by experienced staff. Typically children are divided into groups aged 3-6, 7-9,10-12 and13-17 and activities are organised accordingly.

Some ships have separate swimming pools and play areas for children, as well as junior discos, video rooms and teen centres.

For parents, cruising with children includes taking time out to relax, as well as the opportunity to spend some quality time together.

On some cruises parents can arrange for a private babysitter within their cabin.

Children’s Rates

Most cruise lines offer special rates for children sharing their parents’ cabin. To get the best possible rates it is advisable to book early.
